birch plywood staircase

birch plywood staircase

This staircase is made of curved pieces of 6mm round bar welded together on site, built up from the floor. The treads are made of birch plywood. Although this structure may look weak and feeble it is immensely strong and rigid, exploiting the strength of repeated triangles and pyramids.

It complies to modern British building regulations for a private principal staircase.
